Bob Johson Memorial "Badger Bob" Award

Awarded in memory of the Penguins late head coach Bob Johnson who lead the team to its first Stanley Cup Championship. The award is given to the player who, through his performance on the ice, his character and total dedication to his teammates for the success of the team, embodies the spirit of Johnson's optimistic catch phrase: "It's a Great Day for Hockey."
