December 31, 1988 - Pittsburgh Penguins center Mario Lemieux celebrates his unusual feat of scoring five goals, five different ways against the New Jersey Devils. Lemieux became the first and only player to score a goal at even strength, shorthanded, on the powerplay, on a penalty shot and an into an empty net.

The penalty shot goal was the Penguins first on Pittsburgh ice in 11 attempts at the Igloo. Lemieux scored on six of his eight career attempts.
